I have always loved writing and until recently didn't even think about turning my hobby into an online thing. I was used to the old fashioned journals and notebooks with flower printed covers.
After subscribing to a couple of my friends' blogs and a gentle
I tried to do some type of theme, but honestly its just a mix of my daily thoughts, sometimes focused, sometimes random; and general thoughts about life as I know it.
I can definitely see why people like it so much. Its definitely a learning experience for me because even though I've used a computer my whole life, [yay for growing up in the 90s] I still feel very amateur around the technical side of maintaing a site. If blogger didn't have most of the html coding, etc. already set up I definitely would not even have proper font!
So the blog is slowly becoming less and less amateur I hope.Maybe one day I will install and figure out how to work Photoshop ;)
I am a recent graduate from one of our beloved University of California schools. Who is now working as an appeals clerk at a medical technologies company, [ya, I didn't see that one coming either] while trying to get into graduate school, figuring out what to do with my life and other various adventures with my now live-in boyfriend.
Hopefully this time next year I will be settled in who knows what city pursuing my Masters in Social Work degree. I forgot how stressful and time consuming applications can be. Especially graduate applications which unlike undergraduate, require letters of recommendation. High school juniors and seniors, you forgot how lucky you are. SAT woes? Just wait until you can't find a job after college or you are one of the lucky ones like myself that have to take the LSAT, GMAT, MCAT or GRE. Enjoy being 18.
I am also obsessed with anything to do with flowers, trendy clothes, animals, HGTV (and other various home design media) and books. I love photography, scrapbooking, blog surfing, movies, etc. I'm not amazing at art and crafts but my mother is, which is why I think I love everything about painting, sewing, anything D-I-Y. Growing up, with a mother who made embrodiered blankets and crocheted scarfs in cool fabrics & colors, made me appreciate crafts and "artsy" things. Yep, I was spoiled.
My cat, who I nicknamed Snickerdoodle for fun, has developed a weird obsession of awkwardly laying on top of people's legs, shoulders,
I was currently trying to edit my blog when she did this ^^ |
So pretty much at this point I have just accepted the fact that my lovely kitty is going crazy as she moves farther along into the double digits. Oh well. I guess instead of being the fat, lethargic cat that does absolutely nothing; I am the proud owner of a narcissitic, love-starved skinny creature named Snickers, who does absolutely nothing.
Well that's a little about me and my silly cat.
Happy blogging.
